Monday 7/23

This is a quick post, as I’ve got to get canes made.  But I wanted to pass along a few things from yesterday.

We were in the car and Allen says, “Oh, by the way,” and pulls a receipt out of his wallet. “Here’s another one for the envelope.”  He hands it to me, folded, and I open it… it’s a receipt from Tutto!!

Why, Allen, you little sneak.    On Saturday, when I was talking to editors, apparently he toddled on back to the Tutto booth and bought the bags. 

We’d talked about it an hour before, of course, but hadn’t decided.  The sales rep was busy with other customers, and I had an appointment in a few minutes with an editor.  We told her we’d be back later.  But we never went back, because one appointment led to another, and by the time I was done, the show was closing for the day.  As we headed to the door, I remembered the Tutto and stopped Allen.  “Hey, we missed going back to talk to Nancy,” I said.  He replied that she was probably already gone.  I was disappointed, but I had her card and could put an order in later (except then I’d have to pay for shipping, so that was a bummer). 

Anyway, delivery will be in a couple of weeks, and then I’ll be loading two of them into my webshop.  The other I’m keeping for my rolling studio cart. 

Okay, the next thing I wanted to talk about was the canes for the week.  I’ve got a flame cane made, which will go exclusively into my webshop here, and not be listed on eBay.  The set I’m working on today will be listed there, though.  And of course singles of it will be available in the webshop.  I’m working on a color-coordinated set in deep jewel tones for fall and winter.  Pics of those will hopefully go up no later than Thursday.  (Also, pics from CHA should be going up by the weekend, BTW.)

And finally, just a reminder that tonight is demo night.  It’s a beginner project, using a spiral cane.  I hope you all can attend.  If you need any help getting Yahoo and PCC going, just give me a ring.
