Lime and Butterfly
Last night Margo and I worked on new fimo nail art canes - she made a lime and I made a purple butterfly. I did the test baking and slicing on these this morning. I love them both! Here are some up-close pictures of the slices:

There are a couple of large orders we’re working on, and so we are hoping to replenish stock as fast as we can. I hope you like these cane designs - we’re having a lot of fun making them.

LOL that was fast, Kathi! Thanks, I’ll tell her that. She was worried about it, and I think I micromanaged a little too much. So we’ll have to work on that part. When she went to bed, she’d reduced the canes but we hadn’t done the baking yet. She was thinking she didn’t like it, and it was making her doubt her ability to get back into the swing of caning after such a long break from it. So when she got up to go to work this morning, I showed her the slices on my desk. She left with a smile on her face.

Hahah! Oh Kathi, I do love you. You know that. Yes I will back off a bit, I know she can cane and I just kept wanting to help. I’d take a section and show her what needed to be done, and she’d take it back and just ask me to talk her through it. Duh, it’s what I do in classes, so what was my problem? I’m not sure… combination of wanting her to have a success and wanting it right the first time. UH OH… do I see perfectionism rearing it’s ugly head? That whole “make it perfect the first time” thing is a great way to get an ulcer!

Oh I forgot to tell you, Kathi: When she came home from work yesterday I told her what you’d said and she laughed and said to tell you big thanks!

Tell her she is more then welcome.
stop thinking of her as your daughter when you two are caning and think of her as a private student. You can be perfect with your own stuff if you must be…..let the lime lady bloom on her own.
don’t make me leave this wonderful 112 degree weather and come up there to kick your butt

Thank you, Betty! I’m so glad you like the butterfly. I will be working on more of them for you soon.
Kathi - let the lime lady bloom - I know she’ll love that. Can’t wait to tell her.
Hah - it’s only 70 degrees here, you’d probably love it!
