Lynn’s Bracelet

We make jewelry from dried flowers, usually as memorial pieces from funeral floral arrangements. It’s been a part of our business for about a year now.  We have a website for the memorials with sample pictures in the gallery.  Here’s the link:  http://www.memorial-beads.com.

In this case, it’s not a memorial piece, but a birthday gift. Lynn  grows these beautiful star gazer lilies in her yard, and asked me to use a flower to make a bracelet for her sister. This flower must have had a 10-inch blossom – it was HUGE.  Lynn’s sister lived in Hawaii for awhile and loves the islands.  So Lynn asked if I could put some sort of shell in the middle of the bracelet. I went looking through my shells and found this piece of abalone.  The thing I didn’t know at the time was the colors in the abalone perfectly match the colors of the beads.  How cool is that.
