Small (5-6mm) Sunflower Fimo Nail Art Cane

Cane diameter: approximately 1/4-inch (6mm)
Cane length: approximately 1-7/8 to 2-inches (48 - 51mm)
Canes per package: 1

Handmade: Each baked Fimo nail art cane has been made by hand by C. A. Therien. As with all handmade products, some variation in the design and in size will occur.

Custom Mixed: The canes are created from a mixture of Fimo Classic, Fimo Soft, Kato, Premo, and Sculpey III polymer clays, blended to create custom shades and a firm texture. Translucent clays are what is used on the canes with a milky-white border around the design. The translucent border will clarify when added to the nail with glue, acrylic, or gel.

To slice the canes:
1) You will need a stiff, sharp blade. I carry a really nice blade here in my shop. The blades are VERY sharp, so please use caution. Do not let children handle the blade.

2) Warming the cane before slicing helps to make slicing easier. The cane should be warm to the touch but not hot. A toaster oven set to 150 degrees will work fine. So will a heating pad set to low.

3) Using a smooth, slow, sawing motion, slice the cane. It's easiest to grasp the cane close to the end where you are slicing. This will help to prevent slices that are thick on one side and thin on the other.

4) Store unused slices in a zipper baggie or container. Slices and canes will both last indefinitely.

To apply the slices:

1) Use nail glue to adhere Fimo nail art slices to the nail, making sure to seal down all edges without trapping air underneath the slice. Sand if desired to comform the slice to the nail shape.

2) Apply layers of acrylic or gel to the nail, paying special attention to edges of slices.

3) Sand the nail if necessary. Add at least two layers of clear top coat.

To remove:
Soak artificial nails in acetone nail polish remover until nails dissolve. Fimo Nail Art slices will dissolve along with the artificial nail.
