This beautiful cabochon was handmade by C. A. Therien in the Mokume Gane technique. Layers of silver and gold foils glitter in different patterns as the cabochon catches the light. Traces of opalescent fire play cat-and-mouse with the eye. The finish is glossy and highly reflective. This is a striking piece.

Cabochons are widely useful for a variety of jewelry and crafting projects:
