The Riverfront Market
Of the shows we did in 2007, our hometown farmer’s market was one of the best. After Bead & Button, we took a serious look at where the booth was going. We removed much of the decorative elements from the bifold doors, and we changed the table display a couple of times - in fact it’s still going through revisions!
This was from the end of June in 2007 at the Riverfront Market. There’s a cement pad with a large black and white sculpture in one corner. Our booth just seems to fit there, even with the sculpture, as if they were one. We do get compliments on that all the time, which makes us laugh. It wasn’t our idea, we had only moved to the pad because our doors weren’t able to stay upright on the grass.
We’ve continued to struggle over the table displays. We’d only tried the sheer from the picture above this one time. After reviewing it, we decided to go remove the sheer and just go with the lace tablecloth over the black. We kept it that way for the rest of the year.
We close 2007 with a picture of the Riverfront booth and include the sculpture at the corner of the cement pad. It’s a local landmark and attracts alot of attention, which brings people into our booth. What a nice symbiotic relationship.
